Children’s Ministry in Goa

The BIC Church in Goa (a small state in southwestern India) has grown into two congregations. Both rent spaces from other churches for their worship services, but because their time in the spaces is limited – and the spaces themselves are not large – it has not been possible to do children’s ministry during their weekly worship services.

As a result, there are not many opportunities for age-specific discipleship in their current service schedule.

To provide space and time for this kind of investment, the Goa congregations desire to rent a meeting hall at least every other month to bring the children from both churches together for focused children’s ministry. This would also allow the children from both congregations to get to know one another, giving them a stronger sense of belonging to the family of God. The gatherings will include worship, Bible teaching, activities, and snacks.
