Compassion Ministries
COVID-19 Pandemic: Help Us Provide Relief
About
In Spain, unemployment is a widespread issue. Many members in our Brethren in Christ (BIC) community in Spain have lost jobs or struggle to pay bills each month.
In the region surrounding our church communities, many families experience financial stress and instability.
By supporting the Compassion Ministries project, you can help us meet physical and spiritual needs in the local churches and communities surrounding us.
The purpose of the Compassion Ministries project is threefold:
- To provide for basic needs, such as medical assistance, food, school supplies, and public transportation for people in crisis situations
- Through these outreach ministries, to make the gospel message accessible
- To continue to mobilize the local church in practical outreach activities
We prioritize meeting both immediate and long-term needs of members of our churches and local communities.
Compassion Ministries also include our outreach to the homeless. In 2013, Madrid congregations began the Love Project to feed and minister to the homeless in Madrid’s city center. Church volunteers share hot broth, hot drinks, and sandwiches with the homeless and underprivileged as a practical demonstration of the love of Christ.
By giving to the Compassion Ministries project, you meet felt needs within and around Brethren in Christ communities in Spain.
