Nutrition: Mtshabezi Hospital
About
In southern Zimbabwe, a high percentage of people suffer from severe malnutrition. Political and economic instabilities, along with periodic drought conditions, contribute to the dietary challenge of lack of protein and overabundance of starch.
Jesus said we should give a cup of cold water in his name.
As Christians, we are called to minister to the whole person. At Mtshabezi Hospital, we have the opportunity to provide patients with nutrient-dense foods, such as fresh vegetables, milk, and meat. Through having a healthy, balanced diet, patients heal more quickly and have the ability to return home and to their jobs, significant so that people can provide needed income for their families. Children, some of whom are severely malnourished, benefit greatly from eating nutrient-rich meals at the hospital.
By giving to the Nutrition project at Mtshabezi Hospital, you provide a tangible expression of God’s love and care for patients in Zimbabwe.
Note: Mtshabezi Hospital is led by the Zimbabwe Brethren in Christ Church.

Mission hospitals in Zimbabwe are having difficulty feeding patients due to cutbacks in government supplements. With funds received from this project, we’ve been able to provide life-sustaining meals for patients.
