About

Brethren in Christ pastors in Cuba face the challenge of self-sustaining ministry in congregations and communities where people struggle to provide their families’ basic needs.

Limited access to vehicles makes it difficult for pastors and ministry leaders to connect with those to whom they minister, and congregants face the same challenge to attend worship gatherings and new ministry sites. In addition to shepherding their congregations, self-sustaining pastors must also find creative solutions to provide for their families.

This project aims to support Kingdom growth in Cuba by purchasing motorcycle vans for pastors and ministry leaders.

These vehicles – commonly called triciclos in Cuba – hold 6-8 people and create micro-business options for pastors. When not used for business purposes, triciclos can also transport people to worship gatherings and enable pastors to better engage with those they serve.

Reliable transportation access will help to extend God’s Kingdom and support the work of the church in Cuba by alleviating some of the logistical challenges that ministry leaders face. Pastors will gain a new income stream to provide for their families, and new areas can be reached as ministries multiply. Many who would have no other way to meet with the body of Christ can have an opportunity to gather with others who love Jesus.

By giving to the Motorcycle Vans project, you support pastoral families and ministries as they share the Good News of God’s Kingdom in Cuba.
